Internships

We have several internship opportunities at the Symphony. An internship is different from volunteering in that we ask you to make a significant time commitment to the symphony, take responsibility for a specific project, and learn to work across many areas of the symphony. Interns will have a staff member who will work with you to develop a project plan, provide mentorship throughout the project, and provide feedback on your work. All Symphony internships are unpaid, but you will be able to attend concerts for free. It is possible to get school credit if that works for your professors/teachers/administrators.

Internships at the Symphony will provide you with experience in: community engagement, community collaborations, marketing, writing and/or photography. You must be a self-driven individual who is creatively ambitious and committed to community engagement. ● Multitasking, enthusiastic, hardworking with excellent organization and communication skills. ● Eagerness to engage with the community, learn about arts management, and creatively develop new ideas in line with our Marketing Goals. ● Must work well in a collaborative environment as well as individually. ● Must be knowledgeable with basic office software and social media platforms.

To apply to any of these positions, please send a cover letter and resume via email to Cordelia Neff at office@santacruzsymphony.org.
