position details
2025–26 wages are $132.50 per service for Section musicians and $161.65 per service for Principal musicians. Additionally, all musicians receive a daily travel allowance, pension contribution, and housing option.
Forty-four services are planned, though this number may change slightly.
Daily travel pay is offered at the following rates, based on your home county:
• $2.66 Santa Cruz County
• $13.31 Santa Clara, Monterey Counties
• $20.19 San Mateo, Alameda, San Benito, San Francisco, Contra Costa Counties
• $26.62 all other counties
Home stays are available with advanced notice. While not guaranteed, every effort is made by the SCS Association to arrange for weekend home stays.

Audition Location
Auditions will be held at San Jose State University. Additional details will be sent when application is accepted.
