THIS SATURDAY: get ready to be a part of the magic!

Get ready to be part of the magic!

THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 8 is your chance to experience the power of music and to be part of something bigger. Our John Williams Spectacular concert is much more than a celebration of a legendary composer (learn more here) and a chance to party with music-loving friends. It’s also an opportunity to raise funds for Your Symphony. Every ticket sold and every successful auction item bid will support valuable educational and program initiatives that elevate life in our community.

Our live and silent auctions will offer you the chance to contribute financially and get one-of-a-kind prizes in return. You can bid on our two silent auction items before and during the concert. Then, after intermission, we’ll have an exciting live auction (don’t worry, we’ll keep it short!) where you can compete against your friends to score three live auction items. Here's what our auctions have to offer:

SILENT AUCTION

Find the Symphony merchandise table before the concert to bid on these two silent auction items.

SIT WITH THE ORCHESTRA DURING A REHEARSAL

What’s it like to be surrounded on all sides by incredible musicians? Find out for yourself at a real live Santa Cruz Symphony concert rehearsal.

Watch Maestro Stewart’s expressions, hear the strings up close, tap your feet to the percussion—all from your own chair on stage. This immersive experience will knock your socks off!

SHAKESPEARE & SYMPHONY SPECIAL TICKET COMBO

Experience the best of Santa Cruz music and theater with this special ticket combo.

This auction item combines six tickets to Santa Cruz Shakespeare's classic production of A Christmas Carol (November and December) with six tickets to Santa Cruz Symphony's Symphonic Shakespeare concert (late March). Invite your favorite people to join you!

LIVE AUCTION

Join us at the start of the second half of our concert for a fun, energetic live auction of the three items below.

SUMPTUOUS ITALIAN DINNER WITH THE MAESTRO

Think of your bragging rights when you invite five of your best friends for an authentic Italian dinner with Maestro Daniel Stewart!

Symphony Board Member Bob Edmund has brought back suitcases full of food, cheeses, and wine straight from the markets of Italy. He'll transform his stash into a memorable meal at his home, from appetizers to dessert.

LIVE YOUR MUSICAL FANTASY!

Everyone will be envious when you conduct Santa Cruz Symphony as they perform Stars and Stripes Forever. You’ll have the chance to rehearse with Maestro Stewart and the orchestra before you step out onto the podium.

Imagine the hush as you lift your baton, and the swell of the music around you as the orchestra begins to play. This coveted experience happens only once in a lifetime!

FUND AN EDUCATIONAL NEED

Music can improve language, cognitive, math, and test skills, as well as creativity, memory, and teamwork. Classical music is a building block, setting the framework for musicians to create and thrive in all genres.

That’s why we’re committed to music education for young people through our LinkUp program, Youth and Family Concerts, musician classroom visits, and more. Your generosity helps us continue in this critical mission.

Following up on our Spring Board Match Challenge

In May, our Symphony Board of Directors offered a challenge: they would match all donations up to $50,000. We're happy to report that donors raised over $65,000—all of which was matched by the Board of Directors, for a total of over $130,000 raised for vital Symphony programs.

We're full of gratitude and amazement for the way our community has stepped up to meet this challenge. Because of your generosity, we can continue to create fine musical performances and build a sustainable future for Santa Cruz Symphony. THANK YOU!

Thanks for a great concert season! Remember to subscribe for 2024-25...
