Maestro Daniel Stewart announces the 2017-18 Season

At the March 25 and 26 “Fratres” concerts Maestro Daniel Stewart, music director of the Santa Cruz Symphony, announced the upcoming 2017-18 Concert Season in celebration of its 60th anniversary.

This season highlights the orchestra in a wide variety of music, from The Planets by Holst to Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Beethoven Symphony No. 7 and Mahler Symphony No. 2 with the Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus. Nigel Armstrong, concertmaster, will be featured in both Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade. A special treat will be the Mozart Concertante for Violin and Viola featuring In Sun Jang on violin and our very own Daniel Stewart on viola.
