Santa Cruz, CA – The Santa Cruz Symphony announced on April 29, 2020 an innovative and adaptive response to the current global health crisis by unveiling their plans for its 2020-21 season.
The Santa Cruz Symphony has canceled the remaining concerts in our 2019-20 season - May 2 & 3 and June 6. The April 19 Recital has been postponed to a future date, as yet undetermined.
Erin started the bassoon in 7th grade, the first year band was offered at her school. She told the band director she wanted to play the oboe and he asked "how about the bassoon?" Her quick response was "Sure, what's that?"
Hunter Bauman has built his life around music, starting when he began piano lessons in first grade. Now a home-schooled high school junior, he plays advanced flute and piano and is a five-time Santa Cruz Symphony Mueller Scholarship recipient.
When Karen was in the 5th grade, she really wanted to play the cello or violin, but her parents said “no dying cats!” So instead, she chose the clarinet.
